i lived over 20 years in london, and since moving to brighton nearly seven years ago, i haven't missed much of my previous life as a londoner. however i do miss london's architectural eclectism, and its restaurants.
i recently came up for the day for an event, and i had a lovely few hours meandering the east end and revisiting some old favourites. i walked around the huguenots streets of spitalfields such as fournier street which is for me one of the best looking and interesting london street; i love its muted colour palette, and its quirky buildings.
it was a hot, sunless day so i wore a monochrome outfit: an old hobbs stripy skirt which, of course, has pockets, a &otherstories cotton structured top, and accessorised with a handmade ceramic necklace by beth lamont, a marc by marc jacob crossbody bag, and some lovely textured flats i bought in porto by portuguese brand elsar.
